Designed by traders, for traders: how Claw is being built with real-world input

Listening First

When you build for traders, you have to listen. You have to understand what they do, how they do it, what slows them down, and what they really need. Every trader operates differently but they all have similar questions and pain points that they feel each day they trade. That is what we are trying to understand and build to improve.

This week, Jack sat down with Bob (Our partner at IPC and a trader who uses crypto markets every day) to walk him through Claw Enterprise and The Breakout Bot.

This was a conversation that helped us see exactly how Bob operates and observe how he uses Claw and other tools. It lets us sit in their chair. It shows us their workflow. And it exposes what we can fix.

Building Second

It is not about building features because they sound cool or because someone thinks they will look good in a product deck. It’s not about designing from assumptions: “What if traders wanted this?”. That approach usually fails. It builds tools that don’t fit people’s actual workflows.

Our commitment is different. We are building a platform shaped by what traders actually do.

Once we have sat down with several traders we start to see patterns emerge in how they operate and more importantly, why they operate that way. These are reasons that get completely lost if you don’t see it yourself first hand.

With this knowledge we can now begin to build to solve those repeating problems and issues. but it doesn't stop there. With each new development and build we create we go back and sit down again with the traders to see if what we have created works for them and actually helps the problem. And then we do it all again!

Learning from a benchmark

Back in the day, Michael Bloomberg famously observed traders on the trading floor at Merrill Lynch. He noticed how they worked, the delays they faced, the data they needed and then built the Bloomberg Terminal to satisfy that.

That meant real-world workflows. Real-world needs.

We take the same approach: directly with crypto traders, front-line, working in live markets.

How we apply that at Eagle AI

  1. Observation sessions
    • Jack and Bob go through live usage of Claw Enterprise and The Breakout Bot.
    • We watch how Bob switches charts, how he triggers alerts, how he reacts to market moves.
    • We ask: “Why did you do that?” “What could have been faster?” “What annoyed you?”
  2. Rapid iteration
    • After seeing what Bob does, we change the interface, tweak the alerts, refine reports.
    • We test again. We refine again.
  3. Feedback loops
    • Traders like Bob don’t just test a finished product. They become part of the product development cycle.
    • Their feedback flows into our sprint planning, backlog, and roadmap.

Why this matters for you

If you’re a trader using Claw, here’s what you get:

  • A platform developed with actual traders’ behaviour in mind.
  • Tools that match real workflows, not idealised workflows.
  • Less guesswork. More relevance.
  • The exact same tool that Institutional and Professional traders want.

What’s next

  • We’ll keep pairing with traders like Bob. New sessions are scheduled.
  • We will monitor usage metrics: how many traders use the Breakout Bot in live trades, what they tweak, how they respond to alerts.
  • We will publish summaries of those sessions (where binding confidentiality allows) so you can see the evolution of the tool.
  • We’ll keep refining Claw Enterprise so that your experience aligns with what you actually do, rather than what someone thinks you should do.

You don’t get to build a tool for traders by sitting in a conference room or by imagining what traders might need. You get there by sitting with traders, watching them perform day to day, listening to their frustrations, understanding their habits.

That’s the mindset behind Claw.

We’re not building in a vacuum. We’re building with you, for your workflow.

And we’re committed to making the platform match your real-world needs.
